About This Content London Transport’s finest comes to Train Simulator with the London Transport Heritage Pack, featuring classic capital traction for you to enjoy.1938 Tube StockAs their name suggests, the 1938 Stock was first introduced on deep-level ‘Tube’ lines shortly before the start of the Second World War. In particular, the Metro-Cammell-built 1938 Stock spent their first 50 years on the Bakerloo, Northern, Piccadilly, Central Lines and even the sub-surface East London Line. After ending their time with London’s railways in 1988, many units of the 1938 Stock were sent for scrap, a few carriages survived into preservation, however some were sold to Network SouthEast for service on the Isle of Wight.Surprisingly, the ex-1938 Stock of the Isle of Wight, now classified as the BR Class 483, is still shuttling between Ryde and Shanklin to this day, making them the oldest passenger rolling stock still in service in the UK – pushing on for 80 years old!In Train Simulator, the 1938 Stock is represented in Northern Line condition, complete with period destination boards and advertising. Driving the Tube Stock is most bespoke, and your time in the classically fitted driving cab will be a challenging yet rewarding experience as you run heritage services.GWR 5700 ClassIt’s no secret that the GWR loved their tank engines, what can be said, they were highly useful in many roles, but perhaps none more so than the 5700 Class. Known today as the ‘Pannier Tank’, GWR’s 5700 Class stood tall as an 863-strong fleet of locomotives that could cope with light goods, shunting, passenger, branch and even mainline use.Their reputation and abundance meant they were a popular contender for smaller companies after the general end of steam, and London Transport put a handful to use on engineer’s trains right up to the early 1970s.The Pannier Tank is represented authentically in the London Transport Heritage Collection, sporting the pristine maroon and gold livery as applied to a select few examples of the remaining locomotives. While a couple of the engines await restoration in real life, London Transport’s Panniers will be raring to steam in Train Simulator, with lucky passengers in-tow as you manage the pressure on the historical run.BR Class 20As the era of steam ended, the British railway network was in need on an entirely new generation of motive power. English Electric would be the starting gun for the country’s early diesels, and one of their pioneering designs, the Type 1, was built as a mixed-goods locomotive that could replace a large sum of not only steam traction, but also other early diesels which were proven unreliable. In recent years, the remaining Type 1 fleet, or as it was re-classified, the Class 20, is usually found on engineering trains, or of course passenger excursions. For the London Transport Heritage Collection, BR Class 20 No. 20142 is featured in her newly applied maroon and gold livery, as the 20s are well known for engineering operations across London Underground lines and taking part in special celebrations. The 20s are nicknamed by enthusiasts as ‘Choppers’, owing to their distinctive helicopter-like sound when running under load, mow’s the time to put them through their paces and chop up the landscape while performing a beat.Included Content:LU 1938 Tube Stock in London Transport Maroon liveryEx. It not that bad but i have to thing i have to complain First Black 5 noises as 1938 stock stopping into stations they should know by now they need to use differnt sounds for differnt trains. this pack should actual London undeground DLC not made up island pleas TRAIN SIMULATOR MAKE A PROPER LONDON UNDERGROUND MAPPPP.. CANT SAY ANYTHING ABOUT THIS AS HAS NEVER DOWNLOADED DESPITE STEAM SAYING THAT IT HAS BEEN ADDED TO MY COLLECTION. Rip off. No updates to the trains. They are just re-textureing the interior & exterios of the trains. DO NOT BUY!. I got this DLC in the sale for £5.99 and for £5.99 it isnt bad. For the full price of £11.99 it isnt value for money in my eyes. Route is a bit short. But it is very nicely detailed with some nice coastal runs and challenging gradients. Not a high speed route by any standard- top speeds of 40mph. Seems to be inspired by the Isle of Wight route. On Quick Drive the Ai is Electrostars which is nice as I like to drive Electostars. The use of NSE Station furniture with London Underground trains is odd. It isnt a bad DLC, the 1938 stock looks superb BUT needs better sounds and physics, but the mishmash of NSE Stations and London Transport traction is a very poor/odd/mishmash of a compromise.. This addon has received some poor reviews. Let me say I was SUPER excited to see LU Heritage stock coming to TS. The 1938 Stock may have some recycled sounds, but the interior is certainly a LOT better the IoW 483. The Pannier is fabulous, a Pannier with no BR shedplate. This is very nice, but also opens up GWR reskin opportunities. If we ever want to see any more classic Met stock (Met 1, 353, Milk Brake, etc) reviews need to be good. I will say, I was disappointed by the fact that only 20142 and not identical 20227 was included, and by the fact that there were no teaks, merely straight port-IoW coaches, but after running it, and making a few personal changings, I can forget all of those minor bugs. Hopefully they will change too. It is LU people, what other options are there? I have a feeling this stock will be coming in useful rather soon as well..... I've bought virtually all the British routes from DTG, all have been good, but some are a bit dated and some have their faults. However all of them have redeeming features which outway the negatives. Unfortunately this DLC route has no redeeming features. The rolling stock is rehashed from other routes, the route itself is sloppily excecuted, with dreadful graphics and little imagination. The scenarios are dull. If you want to drive classic 1938 underground stock, buy the IoW route. It may be five or six years older, but the graphics, presentation and scenarios are much better. DTG should be very ashamed of this.. I bought this mainly for the 1938 stock. Some good work has been done to the original IoW model to bring it up to the 1938 changes. The exterior and interior are great. I find it disrespectful when people suggest its just a reskin of the IoW model. Its not. A lot of care has been taken to make the subtle changes to the model and textures. It drives differently too with lots of script changes.Negatives... Rains inside passenger car. Doors don't open in passenger car view. Doesn't sound like a 1938 Stock train. The only saving grace is I can drive this on the community made Virtual District Line.
